Cursor Bugbot for PR review
Our verdict
A useful second pair of eyes, especially for solo builders shipping agent-written code. Configure BUGBOT.md rules so it checks what matters in your repo. It does not replace tests.
- Who it's for
- Solo devs and small teams merging lots of AI-written code
- Leverage
- Catches issues before merge without a human reviewer
- Effort
- Low
- Date added
What it does
Bugbot reviews pull requests and identifies bugs, security issues and code quality problems. You configure repository rules, team rules and a BUGBOT.md, and can enable autofix with Cloud Agents.
How builders use it
- Turn it on for repos where agents open PRs.
- Write a BUGBOT.md with project-specific risks (auth, payments, migrations).
- Use autofix for simple findings, review the rest yourself.
What to expect
Fewer obvious mistakes reach main, especially when you're the only reviewer.
